In the Beginning
More than a thousand generations ago, when the Republic was but a dream of the Core Worlds, there was one organization, who fought for justice, peace, and Stability, in an unstable, often violent galaxy. Whether saving entire cities from deadly Trihexilon weapons, or simply doing communities a favor, and catching a violent criminal, the Rogue Knights Errant has always stood up for what is right. Sometimes standing up for what is right, might mean doing something illegal, or unethical however. And we do not simply do what is "right" as stated by the present government, or legal system. I recall one story, i learned from my father, the former leader of the Rogue Knights, of when a Rogue Knights officer, in the Republic caught a petty thief, who had stolen food, and a bit of money from a local Supermarket. However, instead of arresting him, and putting him in jail, the Officer gave the Boy a credchip worth 200 credits, and let him go. Later, when asked why he did that, the officer replied "I did it because after speaking to the boy, i learned his father was out of work, and his family had gone hungry for a 2 weeks. And because sometimes, the legal system is wrong." That officer later became a core part of the Knights, and his name was Kell Brightblade. his exploits are legendary. |

The first Transistion
When the republic became a normal part of everday life, the Rogue Knights did not give up their quest for justice, They assisted the Jedi Council in Eradicating the Sith, and soon became a prominent figure in Galactic Politics, even owning a fiefdom of Planets in the Midrim. The names of the Planets owned by them are presently unknown. The knights continued to carry out their mission.
Changing Times, call for Changing Measures
Soon enough, the Republic was a crumbling, decadent government body. The Knights saw this, they also saw the Republic was unable to maintain justice, and peace, and many knights were called to active service, from decades of leave. As usual, members sworn is as knights, did their job. While The Jedi could be called the Paladins of the Galaxy, if you compare them to popular fantasy such as Dungeons and Dragons, the Knights were like Knight of the Order, a warrior, who while noble, and living by a code, was not gifted with special powers or the Force. That's not to say all Knights did have sensitivity to the Force. but for the most part, the upper ranks of the knighthood, did not. Anyhow, the leaders of the knights, realized that times were changing, and that called to a change in the Measure Knighthood. First of all, with blockades in place, in several areas, a new order was needed, the order needed to be an order whom were not "noble" gallant gentlement, but rather one of rogues, and thieves. so the order was called the Bandit Knights. This order includes to this day, smugglers, pirates, and other criminals. In this order, is placed the duty of supplying knightly outposts with weapons, and equipment, for that was difficult to get by blockades.
Also, the knights would no longer be able to rely on the Republic to build equipment, so they needed a new order to take care of that as well, while the bandits could certainly raid, and pillage equipment, that would not be enough. They needed another order, one skilled in manufacturing. They looked back to the time before the Republic, and found it, the Guilds. The guilds had been the craftmen before the republic, so now They instituted the Guilds again, this time called the Craft Guilds. There would be a guild for each craft, and ranks within that guild.
The republic fell, and the Knights, along with Garm Bel Iblis, Mon Mothma, and other legends, formed the Rebellion. The knights, this time however, were not in the forefront, for now they are in the back of galactic politics, and they do missions, and carry out the secret orders of the Rebels.
